About the River Wye at Lower Lydbrook
The stretch starts at the access point on the B4234 just below Thomas Wood and extends downstream to the car park below the Courtfield Arms. You may only fish on the nearside bank of the river.
The Fish
Barbel, chub, perch, roach, dace, pike.
Local Rules
- River fishing is bound by E.A. rules restricting the season to June 16th through to March 14th.
- Priority must be given to Salmon anglers.
- Rule 39 All Barbel to be returned to water immediately.
- Rule 40 No cutting steps into bank or pruning overhanging trees.
- Rule 41 No night fishing.
- Rule 42 No worm fishing.
- Rule 43 No car parking in Legg Meadow.
Abide by all club rules!
PLEASE REMEMBER
- Members must carry their licence at all times or will be charged the daily ticket rate.
- Directions to all venues is available from tackle outlets or from any of the club officers.
- All litter should be taken home or disposed of in the litter bins provided at the waters.
- DO NOT discard any line or hooks at the water or in the litter bins, this can be dangerous to other wildlife.
- Alcohol is banned at all our venues
