About Meadowcliffe

Meadowcliffe is just off the A4136. There is a very healthy stock of crucians which are now grown on to about 12 ounces and give a good fight on light tackle. At the moment, Meat seems to be the bait to use, with one of our club Anglers catching 35 of them in the first week of August. His catch also included a number of small chub, up to a pound and a number of roach, rudd and the odd tench. There are also a number of large Carp in the lake, but they tend to be caught earlier in the morning.

The Fish

Carp (Mirror & Common), tench, perch, roach, rudd.
